Doug is the general manager of Exit Strategies Institute, LLC, a company he founded in 1999 to compliment his law practice. He has authored or co-authored eighteen books on topics ranging from estate, business, and tax planning to charitable giving, and from a book for baseball catchers and a love story novella to a nine-book collection of children’s stories based on the Fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).

Throughout his career, Doug has sat on the Board of Directors of several non-profit organizations, spoken frequently on estate planning, business, and tax planning issues to Christian organizations and congregations, and audiences that include attorneys, CPAs, financial advisors, as well as normal people.

Doug has three incredible sons, three amazing daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren. He enjoys music, writing, great Mexican food, and a good Cabernet. As a result, he has also fallen in love with his Peloton Bike, Tread, and Row.
